Change of ownership through assignment of trademark, design and patent/utility model is registered upon submitting the required documents to Turkish Patent & Trademark Office and published in the Bulletin.
On the other hand change that will occur in ownership as a result of some structural changes, like merge, division etc., is also registered as submitting the necessary documents to Turkish Patent Office.
In case of any change in the name or type of an industrial property right’s owner, for registering the mentioned changes to the registry, required documents must be submitted to the Office. Mentioned registrations regarding change of name or type are applied by Turkish Patent Office for all the intellectual property rights and applications registered in the name of owner. In the same way, registering of a change of address is applied for all the intellectual property rights and applications in the name of owner.
In case of the applicant/owner passed away, the transition of the rights to the inheritors, can be registered upon submission the required documents to Turkish Patent Office.
